Todd is away at Camp Rosenbaum this week.
If I haven't already said.. Rosenbaum is a camp put on by the Portland Police Bureau and the Air National Guard..(amongst other public safety agencies.) The camp is for kids who live in low income housing. Each year about 160 kids go to camp in Seaside.
It's a super cool program and this is Todd's 2nd year being a Fire Dawg (he is part of the Fire Dept. Team for the camp.)
The kids and I started out early this morning to head up there. The weather wasn't quite what we hoped but it didn't bother Ian or Ainsley. Ian actually remembered going last year and kept talking about what he did then compared to now.

See! There really wasn't much wind which is surprising for the Oregon coast but Ian didn't care. It flew for about 2 minutes before coming back down.
I think next year the kids and I will end up staying the night in Seaside instead of driving the 2 hours home late in the afternoon.
They were really excited to see their dad since he has been gone since last Friday. Todd will be home on Saturday and we can't wait!
